Introduction

Objectives

The mission of our department is to create a nurturing educational environment preparing students to be successful at skills of material and regeneration technology. Training with serial courses in this department, the students can have abilities of pondering questions by themselves and get related specialized certificates to promote their employment competitiveness.

The department was originally divided into two groups of the Materials and the Mineral Resources that the specialties of these two groups are totally different. The curriculums and researches of the materials group focus on the Material manufactures, designs, processes, and applications. And the Mineral Resources group focuses on the specialties of industry regeneration processing and geological technology.

Prospects

Our graduates can find career opportunities in the high-tech and traditional manufacturing industries. For the Materials group, the related industries are such as semiconductor, electronic materials, steel and iron materials, material casting, powder metallurgy, ceramics and so on. For the Mineral Resources group, the related industries are such as geology, minerals, energy, cement, building materials, resource regeneration and so on.
