Ministry of Education, in order to integrate the resources and research capability of universities and colleges, established 6 centers in 2000 called "Center for Regional Industry Academia Cooperation, M.O.E. ". These six centers are distributed in the north, middle and south part of Taiwan. (Taipei, Yunlin, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung.)
Ministry of Education hopes that this arrangement will combine the universities with local characteristic industries to improve teaching quality, and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. In addition, to help train local talent and provide own- job- training for industry, and provide information of new technology and new management knowledge offering adding value reeducation and key technique knowledge etc.
Since our school was selected by the Ministry of Education as one of" the Center for Regional Industry and Education Partnership - National Taipei University of Technology ", we have also established three key fields of expertise, including “Manufacture and Electro-mechanics”, “Energy and Resource”, and “4C Science and Technology”, and two research centers called “the Center of EMO Materials and Nanotechnology” and “the Center for Electronic Energy”. We hope that we can provide the best effort to local industries for the best result.
